Aston Villa vs Arsenal – Arsenal to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
The big game of the night is at Villa Park, and Arsenal look a cracking bet. The Gunners opened their season with a dominant 3-0 win over Coventry City, with Havertz, Saka, and Odegaard all finding the net. They had 64 percent possession and six shots on target, which shows how ruthless they can be. Aston Villa, meanwhile, got absolutely battered 4-0 by Brighton on the opening weekend. Over in Spain, Osasuna host Getafe at El Sadar, and this looks like a low-scoring grind. Osasuna have lost four of their last five games and sit 16th in the table. They have scored just 1.4 goals per game this season, and their attack has been blunt. Getafe, meanwhile, are eighth after two wins from five, but they are not exactly free-scoring either – 1.9 goals per game and a tendency to keep things tight under Jose Bordalas.
The head-to-head between these two is dominated by Getafe – 17 wins from 40 meetings – but the games tend to be cagey. Under 2.5 goals at 1.42 is the standout bet here. Both teams prefer to sit back and hit on the break, and with neither side carrying a real attacking threat, this could easily finish 1-0 or 1-1. Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano – Barcelona to Win & BTTS – No
Barcelona host Rayo at the Spotify Camp Nou, and the champions look unstoppable. They have won their first two games without conceding a single goal – a 5-0 demolition of Elche and a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao. Hansi Flick has got them playing some scintillating stuff, and Raphinha has been directly involved in four of their seven goals this season. They have won 20 consecutive home league games, which is just staggering.
Rayo Vallecano, meanwhile, have just one point from two games and are missing their first-choice goalkeeper Augusto Batalla through injury. They have scored just two goals this season, and their attack looks blunt. Barcelona to win at 1.11 is a given for any accumulator, and BTTS – No at 1.72 is the value play. Lecce vs Roma – Roma to Win
Roma travel to the Via del Mare, and this should be straightforward. Roma absolutely demolished Fiorentina 4-0 in their opener, with Donyell Malen scoring a hat-trick and Dybala pulling the strings. They look like a team reborn under their new manager. Lecce, meanwhile, won their opener 2-0 at Venezia, but they are a mid-table side at best and lack the quality to compete with the big boys.
Roma have won 30 of the last 54 head-to-heads against Lecce, and their away form is strong. The prediction from the experts is a 3-0 Roma win, and at around 1.75 the away win looks a solid play. If you want a correct score, 3-0 at 10.00 or 2-0 at 7.50 are worth small stakes. Roma’s attacking quality with Malen, Dybala, and Pellegrini should be far too much for Lecce.
Atalanta vs Bologna – Atalanta to Win
The final pick comes from Bergamo, where Atalanta host Bologna at the Gewiss Stadium. Atalanta made a winning start with a 2-1 victory at Sassuolo, and their home form is formidable. Bologna, meanwhile, lost their opener 1-0 at home to Lazio and looked toothless in attack. They have a new manager in Domenico Tedesco and are still finding their feet.
Atalanta have won four of the last six meetings between these two, and their attacking quality with Lookman, Retegui, and De Ketelaere should see them through. At around 1.95, Atalanta to win is the pick. If you want a bit more value, over 2.5 goals at 1.80 makes appeal because Atalanta’s games are usually open and entertaining.
